Cala Goloritzè – Above Cala Biriala

The excursion starts from Orosei by 4WD, you cross the famous SS 125 with its views of the Canyon Gorroppu, the Valley of Oddoene, starting point for Tiscali, Genna Silana, a must for all motorcyclists and cyclists who live this “Route” as a real playground for two wheels to finally reach the award-winning Borgo di Baunei.
Here the imposing Supramonte, mysterious rich in stories of people tempered by rugged places, inaccessible and suspended in time, you get off-road to the point closest to the path to start the path between limestone rocks, ancient sheepfolds, oak woods and the fragrant Mediterranean maquis. We will arrive following an old path of charcoal burners and shepherds “mountaineers” to one of the most panoramic places of the Gulf of Orosei, exactly on the cliffs behind Cala Biriala, which with its natural terraces takes your breath away from the beauty of the landscape.
When we return we will then be greeted in one of the very few ancient sheepfolds in the area. We expect a dinner full of typical products, be it sea or land, prepared with culinary art handed down from generation to generation.
The night flows under the stars, inside a tent, in full contact with nature, to leave room for the sunrise that rises on the horizon of our beautiful Gulf.
The next morning, the path awaits us all downhill, the top of the Spire is very small in the distance but impressive when you get to his feet. The turquoise of the “pearl of the Gulf of Orosei“, Cala Goloritzè welcomes us to satiate not only the look, but one or more regenerating baths await us, even if out of season. The ascent, at a constant pace takes us back to the Golgo.
